Bloomin Crazy Floral

A proud Oregon native with deep Finnish roots, Mia Norlander is the heart behind Bloomin Crazy Floral, a full-service flower and gift shop in historic downtown Astoria. With over 15 years in the floral industry and formal training from the Floral Design Institute, Mia blends technical expertise with a lifelong love of art, nature, and craftsmanship—passions first nurtured by her creative, supportive parents.

Mia’s journey is rooted in both tradition and transformation. She was mentored by beloved local florist Diane Berry, whose legacy she took over four years ago—just as she became a new mother and was splitting time between Portland and Astoria, where her husband worked. With resilience, sisu, and vision, Mia not only honored the foundation Diane built but also modernized the business, brought in fresh energy, and established a loyal following of her own.

Her designs are inspired by the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest, where every arrangement tells a story of season, place, and emotion. At Bloomin Crazy Floral, Mia has created a vibrant, community-centered space offering artful floral designs alongside nature-inspired gifts, plants, and handmade goods from fellow small businesses. Mia continues to bloom where she’s planted—bringing heart, heritage, and a fresh perspective to the floral scene on Oregon’s coast.
